All of our guest bedrooms at The Old Water View Hotel are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. We have six en-suite guest bedrooms which can be used in the following configurations:-

  • 3 x Family rooms which contain a king size double bed and a single bed so can be booked as a Family, twin, double or single occupancy.
  • 2 x Double rooms which can be booked as a double or a single occupancy.
  • 1 x Twin room which can be booked as a twin or single occupancy.

‘Herdy Hut’

We also have our Shepherds Hut, known affectionately as the ‘Herdy Hut’ after the local Herdwick sheep.

This can be booked as a twin or single occupancy. The Herdy Hut has access to a private bathroom inside the main house, but is not en-suite.

New for 2026 En-Suite Shepherds Hut

For the En-suite Shepherds Huts we supply a lighter cereal/porridge breakfast for guests to make and eat in the hut. This is advantageous to those walkers who wish to start off really early in the morning.
